Schumann Piano Concerto & Ravel Piano and Orchestra Concerto - Classical Music Masterpieces for Relaxation, Study and Elegant Dinner Background

Focusing on the Ravel G-major concerto, I can tell you, after listening to (and loving) so many other iconic performances and renditions, that this is just absolutely beautiful. Play it in your living room, play it on your roof top, play it in the gym on your ipod with headphones, play it in you car speeding down the interstate, play it on top of the mountain: but play it (with the volume turned up).The ideal intersection of jazz and classical (and I don't mean Rhapsody in Blue -- see below).My favorite second movement of this beloved G major is always that performed by Michelangeli, conducted by the wonderful Markevitch, on the Tahra label -- poor sonics but great art. I cry when I hear it. Be sure you choose right. Michelangeli recorded this with at least 3 different conductors. I've listened to them all. The most poetic and beautiful is that done by Markevitch.Yvonne makes this piece shine in so many ways. I especially love the transition from the 2nd to the 3rd movement. What a take-off!I guarantee you will not be disappointed (limiting my guarantee to the Ravel G major concerto).We have the Old World musical legacy, intersecting with the New World (Ravel meets Gershwin).My guarantee: if not satisfied, I will refund your price. But I would require a brain biopsy along the way to be sure there isn't an underlying organic brain disorder clouding your judgement. These are my terms!So much beauty...
