The composer Paer and his music, especially this CD are the most important musical discoveries I have ever made to-date. The music is delicious, refreshing, and a celebration for the ear. If you want to take a chance on one "odd" composer or "unknown" piece of music this year, Paer and Trois Grandes is your best choice. I am purchasing everything I can find on CD by him. He is likely to become among my ten favorite composers.
