Rudolf Firkusny delivers a fine recital from days gone by. The Haydn sonatas are among the best on disc, and the Brahms is entirely unaffected and poised. The Schubert D960 is played somewhat swiftly and without repeat in the first movement, but for that style of approach, once more common than now, it is very good. Sound quality satisfies.
