My wife was using a 300 pound rated bench chair in the shower for four years. She didn’t need the weight rating but was putting sideways pressure on the legs getting in and out of the shower. Plastic sockets connecting the legs to the seat eventually split causing it to drop her on the shower floor. Being an amputee it was interesting extracting her from the shower and getting her off the bathroom floor.This seat is all metal other than the seat surface. It is much more rigid and looks safer to slide on. Again weight isn’t an issue but overkill turns out to have other advantages.The telescoping legs lock securely in place. They could be a couple inches higher since she is a taller lady. Not likely to collapse in use is much more important than a little added height though.
