Safavieh Patio Collection Hampton Adirondack Acacia Wood Bench - Natural Outdoor Garden Furniture for Patio, Deck, Backyard & Poolside Relaxation

I purchased 2 benches for my beach house which I split between family use and a weekly rental during the summer. Unfortunately the first bench arrived with a split/cracked board in the bench seat. The shipping box showed no evidence of damage or abuse and was not the cause of the damage -- the board was split during the assembly process & missed during inspection. The crack starts at the base of a screw that attaches a bench seating slat to the side support of the bench -- see attached pictures. I am quite handy & know my way around a wood working shop so a replacement side support is all that I need to repair my bench.The seating position & comfort of the bench is excellent. The specs indicate a 600 lb carrying capacity which I suspect is true as long as folks sit down with care/gently. It is not clear if the bench will withstand a large individual simply "plopping" themselves on the bench as the wood used in the support structure is on the thin side. Overall the bench is very good relative to it's price. I'm still waiting for bench #2 to arrive....hopefully with no cracked wood.
