I gave it to my granddaughter for her birthday. She loves it.Bought for my granddaughter. She loves it.Got this and we love it glad we bought itAdorable little piano A nice first musical instrumentLoved the hight, color and how it is built. I disliked that three not keys was broken but grate grandchild did not want it to return. Overall is good for beginners to learnFirst of all, this toy piano looks identical to the Schoenhut piano, but it's less than half the price - big win right there. The BuildThe finish on the piano is very nice, no sloppy paint spraying and they got a great gloss on it. It does have the smell of strong paint odors as others have mentioned, but that dissipates after a few days. Is it harmful? Not sure, but we put ours in a pretty big room. Another thing others have mentiond is that it does not come with any instruction - I've put a lot of ikea furniture together, so I thought it was simple to figure out, but I can see how it might take a while for some. They should include instructions. The legs are not exactly rock solid - the whole piano will sway a little side-to-side, but even if your baby/toddler were to climb on it, I doubt it would actually break. The SoundWell, it's not strings and it's not electronic, the sound is created like a xylophone; mallets on either tubes or strips of metal (I didn't actually open it up). So, it has that xylophone/ tubular bell sound. pitch is decent and the key-feel / action is pretty good. As a piano player myself, it is possible to play a real song, but it doesn't really sound like a real song when you play it.Bottom LineGreat price, this little piano is super cute and looks great (if you're concerned about decor). The sound is mediocre, but I personally think that's fine for my 1.5 yr old - she just bangs on it anyway. Oh and she does love it, so that says a lot.I'm so happy today. I'm a 55 yr old, who has been playing the piano since I was 3. "Santa" surprised me with a Schoenhut , basic toy grand piano in '67. A goal I had at that time, was that when I became a young adult, I would have a real baby grand piano. That little toy grand reminded me of that goal every day I looked at it (and treasured it). 6 months later, for no reason at all, my mom "gave" that little piano away to a girl who was visiting with her mom one day. As I pleaded for her not to give it away, I was severely punished! Didn't destroy my goal, though. In 1982 I did get a brand new Baldwin baby grand piano. In 1990 I was moving into a small house, so CHOSE to swap that baby grand for a beautiful, elegant Steinway & Sons Upright, which I still have, and proudly play today. When I received this little toy grand piano today, it's given me back the memory of the baldwin I decided to part with. I'm going to place it next to my Steinway, and it is a showpiece which will be very well taken care of. I have a barrette made in Acacia Wood (from Hawaii) with my name engraved on it, and I'm going to have it professionally placed over the BC so it will look like a custom made grand piano. I am also placing a beautiful swarovski crystal swan (the very one I had placed on the side next to the sheet stand) of the Baldwin, Today is a very, special day for me. It not only brings closure as to what my mom did to me, but also reminding me that my goal still happened. Life is great! :-)Sería más como elemento decorativo.
