After what seemed like endless searching, I found this bench. My first thought was that it was too expensive. I kept on searching and always seemed to come back to this bench, so I decided to go with it. We've had the bench for about 2 months and it is just what we needed. The dogs were constantly getting into the litter box and making a mess everywhere. Now they stay out!We stapled on a little flap door out of the mat material we bought for it. It works great! The doors allow plenty of light and the cat used it from day one. We can tell he's going to be a big cat, and there is plenty of room inside after he grows. For reference, the size of the side door is approximately 9.5 inches wide x 10 inches tall. It has a little shelf in it for the litter scoop. The cushion it comes with stays in place with velcro and has ties. It doesn't have a zipper, but looks easy to spot clean. The bench was easy to put together with great instructions. My husband likes the quality of the bench. It is easy to clean, no smell. My daughter (who is picky about furniture) was surprised that it looked so good! It has a great, modern look to it. We have it in our exercise room and it comes in handy when doing work with weights. The bench is sturdy enough to sit on. Overall, it works great for us!
