For the record, I have the Precor Superbench that I use regularly...didn't want to spend another $1200+ shipping for another one at a different locationThis bench came almost over packaged. The entire box was wrapped in 1/4 inch thick layer of plastic wrap. The board itself has straps that are again tapped down. Definitely get a knife to cut all the packaging. Assembly was pretty straight forward with the exception of the 2 bearings for the seat and the seat back. You really need to pound it it. So if you're asking what tools? I'd get 2 adjustable wrenches or one adjustable wrench and a ratchet set. You also need a hammer to hammer the bearings in. It's TIGHT!Once assembled I like it. It is super solid. No wiggles. The padding is definitely firm. And width is perfect for me. As is the height. for the record I'm 6'1 and 190.How does it compare to my Precor Super bench? It's close enough. The pad is very similar to size and quality...perhaps a bit firmer...maybe bc it's brand new. Should soften up a bit with use. The frame is not as nice, and the paint job is not even close. Do I think it'll hold 1000lbs? The welds seem pretty decent. The Precor has a max weight bearing of 350lb user and 400lb load for 750 lbs overall. This is not quite as sturdy.. I had no issue with 200lb dumbbells plus my close to 200 lb weight. I feel comfortable saying that 500-600lb total is about right for this bench, it's not quite as strong as the Precor.For $300, it's 1/4 as much as my Precor and is 80% as good. I took one star away b/c the bearing fit is such a pain.After a long search, price comparisons and customer reviews - I bought this bench ( which at the time had only 2 reviews).Bench was received well packed and noticeably - heavily reinforced by shrink wrap on the outside of the box for added reinforcements. The box had tons of Fragile and Handle with Care stickers all over as well. No issues cosmetically nor structurally upon unboxing.Bench was very simple to assemble and took me literally 15 minutes from start to finish including box and wrapping clean-up.Bench itself if very well made. Pads are thick yet soft. Pad fabric, Steal gauge, bolts and pull-pins & welds are all Gym Quality grade ( I've been working out for 2 decades with numerous gym memberships throughout college and after ect. ). Bench seat and back adjustment with pull pins are smooth and sturdy - again gym quality.I did have an issue with the seat bolt alignment being slightly off 1/4 inch, which was a quality control issue on the manufacturing end. The seller was contacted with pics and I'm happy to report the customer care was exceptionally good and thorough. With in a few days I had a New seat at my door, at no additional charge.If you are shopping around for a bench ( especially during the pandemic ) as I was, stop HERE, spend a few extra dollars in comparison, and give yourself a piece of real gym equipment, that looks and functions perfectly and that will last a lifetime. Combined with customer service experience ,this is a no-brainer - if you are serious about your fitness. If I need/want anymore gear for my home gym, I'll stop at this seller first to shop around as well.High quality bench. I would put it in a category with any top commercial grade gym benches. Right height for bench press and other exercises. Very sturdy and doesn’t wabble when lifting heavy weights. I would highly recommend. Won’t find a better bench especially for this price. Had a little trouble with assembling the 2 bearings that hold the seat and backrest stable. One got damaged during assembly. I contacted the company and they were very nice to replace this part for me. It shipped very quickly and I was able to easily fix and tighten down the bench correctly. Got two teenage boys that are loving this bench now. You won’t regret buying it.Quality: No Wiggles and it is super solid. Firm pad and sleek look. I put it in my commercial gym and it is a very sturdy bench. Very happy with the weight it can hold with zero wiggles.Assembly: It came in the mail within a couple days, packaged super safely. A few reviews complain about how over-done the packaging is, but I like that my equipment came packaged well with zero damage. Assembly took about 25 minutes. Ratchet set was all I needed.Customer Service: I accidentally ordered 2 of this item and emailed customer service. They replied in 24 hours and refunded one of the bench charges and only shipped one item.I'll be ordering this again.First, I make a living through my gym. I only want the best for my members and clients. I received this bench in a box 5.3.21. Here is my review:1. It's (relatively) easy to assemble.2. It's a strikingly beautiful looking bench...but not exorbitant in price.3. It's the sturdiest bench at my gym - probably the most sturdy bench I've ever owned since 1986.4. It's light weight and easily mobile with it's transport wheels - a huge, huge bonus!5. It's a 'pop-pin' adjustment and so easy to do...no tightening down the knobs. Just bam and you are where you want it to be. No shaking, no wiggling...pretty much amazing.6. They say it's 1,000 lb. capacity...and it might actually be. But don't test its limits.7. I highly recommend this bench because if you know gym equipment, you are going to love this bench.8. A very high-value purchase. I'm getting three more to replace my current benches.Look no further. This bench is built great and looks even better (I got the blue & black to match my power rack). It’s light weight unlike a lot of heavy duty benches. Customer service is great too, had a problem with the back seat and they sent a new one same day. Would DEFINITELY recommend this bench to beginners and veterans in lifting!very comfortable and easy to adjust.High quality bench. Easy to assemble and very stable. Great customer service too. Had a small hole in back rest stitching. Replacement was sent to me no q’s asked. Very happy with my purchase.
