This bench is very handy for my dining needs. Some of us are weight heavy but it has been holding strong. Simple to put together and I love the wood. I need to stain it to cherry but haven't gotten around to it. Not so noticeable because we push it under the table.This bench is very sturdy and well made. Even the raw wood is a beautiful color, however, although the wood top is one piece, I wish the wood grain showed wider 'planks' (for lack of better explanation). If not careful with how it's painted or stained, it can look a bit like a picnic bench.Simple, sturdy, easy to assemble. It was so smooth that I did not even sand it before staining. Exactly what I was looking for and at a good price for the quality.Like solid wood, glued up bench top. Stains nicely if you sand it.Easily assembled. Quality construction. Clean lines, stable and sturdy.Would have been 5 stars, but I got an imperfection in the top of the bench. The stain won't hit it and it really stands out to me. Probably because I spent a ton of time with the prep and stain. Other than that spot, the bench is heavy, solid, and made well. Can easily hold 2 larger adults, 3 kiddos. Definitely recommend.Be sure to really measure your table before purchase. Our previous bench was a bit longer and wasn't as easy to get in and out of. Perfect for a 60 inch table.First off, the thing was packaged using some common sense; a layer of cardboard/foam/cardboard (see picture)The quality of this bench is surprisingly nice.Its Finger jointed and square. legs are uniform.Im from a woodworking background and i could not purchase the materials and hardware and produce this bench for the same price.Easy to assemble, sturdy, smooth and ready to stain. I have ordered two other pieces from the maker. I will have this FOREVER it is so well made.
