This turtle footstool is NOT solid wood and NOT real leather, as described. I added a couple of photos of where the finish is chiped and it is clearly some sort of painted hard plastic. It is hollow if you tap on any of the "wooden" parts. The turtle shell does NOT feel or smell like real leather. While it is a pretty looking footstool, it is also pretty fake. I am concerned about how it will hold up, especially since it already had paint chipping right out of the box. Additionally, the item took nearly 7 weeks to arrive. A tracking number was created for shipping at the time of purchase but the item was not actually shipped/given to FEDEX until the final day I was to receive it. I assume since Amazon doesn't fund companies until items are shipped, a tracking number was created so the company could get paid. Seems very shady to me.
