I've owned my Xmark 7604 since January 2015! It says something that they are still selling the exact same model with no changes. The bench is incredible and looks barely used and it has been used extensively since it was purchased. Genuine commercial grade equipment. This bench may outlive me. The only issue I had was the small rubber bumper at the lowest decline position was glued on and came off almost immediately but it's not even remotely useful in the first place so it was a non-issue on my book. Best bench incline/decline bench on the market. The bench arrived in very sturdy corrugate packaging which was literally one box in another to protect the bench. Great packaging. The bench was easy to assemble, had clear instructions, and is very sturdy. I’ve been working out in gyms for 30 years including Gold’s gym and this bench is as good as any of those gym benches. It’s very solid, heavy, and incredibly stable. The padding is high quality and I expect it will last for many years if not forever. Great buy and well worth the spend, which I feel is very reasonable.I haven’t used the bench for lifting yet, I literally just assembled it today and wanted to get some thoughts down while they were fresh in my head. One, the “inventory” list is horrible, it doesn’t list all the parts you need, and lists some bolts you don’t need (or have). The problem with that is you might think you are missing parts from the beginning. I had to review the pieces listed in each step to ensure I did in fact have all the pieces. Two, the assembly instructions are very high level, in other words, you will need to use some logic skills to put it together. It’s not difficult once you figure it out, but could have been much easier with clear instructions. There are a couple nuts you cannot over tighten - the lever for the seat, and the piece that allows you to decline-incline, since those are moving parts. My biggest mistake was having the U shaped piece upside down, which made it seem like the bolts would not fit in the pre drilled holes, there’s nothing to indicate which side goes down (hint - it’s the side that has a raised surface welded on - this is what caused the holes to misalign.)I did sit on the bench and it seems to squeeze my hamstrings when I’m in the decline position, I don’t think this will be a huge problem, but something to note as this is supposed to be “gym quality” but I never had that problem at my gym. I’m sure I’ll make it work. The bench does feel super solid, looking forward to incorporating incline and decline presses, Arnold press, etc in my home gym. Will update review if any other issues/concerns are observed. The “gap” others have spoken of, I don’t feel will be an issue since I have a separate flat bench and do not plan to use it for sit ups. Made in China! If you want better go with Rogue but be prepared to pay a pretty penny. I gave it 3 stars since this is about middle of the road, could be better, could be worse. The bench works really well. I use it along with a wall mounted cable machine and dumbells. The bench is sturdy and is able to stand up on end securely. So far I am very happy with the bench.Very sturdy and comfortable. I've had this bench for several years now and i have no complaints at all.Very Sturdy and strong!!!OK, here's the deal. I shopped and shopped and over thought this purchase. I wanted the perfect bench! Well, I guess if I were a body builder, this bench would be a bit too high. But since I am a regular person, working towards building muscle this bench is perfect because it packs a lot of bench in ONE piece of equipment. The wheels make it easy to move around the space, though the bench is fairly heavy. I could hang it on the wall, when not in use, but it would be awkward if you are not very strong.I am a 55 year old woman who is pretty strong and capable. It took me about 40 minutes to assemble. I would give the written instructions a 8 out of 10. Somethings have to be intuitive, and some of the pictures are hard to see so I looked on-line at the picture of the bench. Also, I had to really think some things out because it would be easy to assemble some parts upside down as instructions weren't perfectly clear and the pictures were small. All and all, the instructions were pretty good. When I initially checked the pieces, it appeared there were missing parts. I immediately called customer service and a live person helped me with less than a 60 second wait. Some of the listed parts are pre-assembled, so there actually wasn't anything missing. The large pieces are awkward and heavy, so a second person would be useful, but not necessary. They provide all the tools but the wrench is cheesy. I used a 3/4 ratchet and it made the job easy breezy. Finger tight everything first, then use the wrench to lock everything in after it is fully assembled. The only hiccup I had was putting the caps on the padded shin guards. I could not snap them on, so I used a hammer which marred the finish. I don't care, I guess it makes it bad assed looking that way LOL.Pros: Solid piece of equipment. When the bolts are tight, this thing does not wobble. Fairly easy to assemble. Very versatile with the many available adjustments, including a -20 decline. Padded shin guards are easily removed with a single pin. They can adjust up and down.Cons: Some instruction required experience or intuition. Takes up precious space and is heavy to lift Now I have a bench that will mock me if I don't use itI've owned this bench for a few weeks now and it was a good buy. This is the first weight bench I've owned so I can't compare it to others but the features and construction of the XMark appear to be superior to similar style benches that I've seen in local department stores, and discount clubs.Pros:- I was able to assemble it by myself in under an hour with the tools provided. All of the parts were labelled and packaged for easy identification during assembly- The multiple angle settings enable a wider variety of exercises (I use it with dumbbells) than a bench with less settingsCons:- The lack of padding on the seat hinge could be an issue for taller users. I'm 6'2" and find that the unpadded hinge rubs uncomfortably at the base of my spine when using the bench at its fully declined setting for sit-ups or other core work.- A minor nit that doesn't affect functionality but some of the fit and finish of the smaller bits could use improvement: one of the compression pieces that holds the foam roller tends to work its way off, and the cover for the zipper end on the seat pops off when the seat compresses beyond a certain point.Arrived right on time with all parts. Instructions are very straight forward for assembly. Bench is very solid. Comes with 10 year warranty. Comfortable to lie on.All in all if you need an adjustable bench and you can afford it, I wouldn't look any further.Great bench! Very versatile as well as being gym quality. Sturdy, I'm 6'2" 245 lb and can use this bench in any position comfortably. Highly recommended. The reason why the name is a woman's name is because we are using my wifes credit card!!I recieved my XMark squat rack last month, was amazed..and tuesday i recieved my XMark Bench!!Again, delivery on time and XMark products are very very well made..nothing negative to say!!i highly recommend XMark products!!Awesome product.
