Trunk is beautiful. I needed something to fill some space under a window in my bedroom & this is perfect! My bedroom set is a very dark Cappuccino color & this matches close enough. I've built 3 cabinets from Amazon in the last 6 months & this is by far the highest quality, best looking one. The others were cheap looking, cheaply made, and didn't line up right. This one looks great. Because it is a quality wood piece, the shipping box is heavy. I am a small build, over 50 female and did all of this by myself, so I opened the box in my entryway & carried the pieces to my bedroom. The packaging was outstanding. Inch thick cardboard around the whole thing, thick paper between the pieces & a red plastic ribbon attaching the parts bag to the box. Parts bag wrapped in cardboard. No styrofoam to vacuum! A very high quality item except for the base being a little thin, but there are 2 support legs underneath so I don't see a real problem, its just odd compared to the rest of the cabinet. Build was surprisingly easy. A word of advice...the last part you attach is the lid. The instructions for this step show the trunk sitting upright and the lid floating magically in the air. It is impossible to hold the lid & attach the screws at the same time. If you have a second person, no problem. If not, I laid the cabinet on its back to attach the lid & hinges. A previous review mentioned waves in the cabinet front. Mine has them also, but it looks like a subtle wood grain and as the prvious review said, are barely noticeable. I had to lay on the ground to get the pic. The top is completely smooth and the whole thing has a slight gloss to it. I passed on some other black cabinets because they were black with grey woodgrain. This is solid black. I highly recommend this product!
