Safavieh Hudson Collection Sutton Pillowtop Bench - Brown & Green Upholstered Storage Bench for Entryway, Bedroom, or Living Room

The item I recieved did not match the colors if the item I ordered — neither the wood, nor the upholstery. I love the style of the bench, and it seems sturdy (enough). But I am upset about the colors (color coordination is important regarding interior design). I got lucky that the colors I received still work, so I’m not gonna bother returning it. But I was going for more contrast.Im really impressed, these are beautiful benches! Perfect leg color, and very nice quality. The cream linen color is beautiful. They do get dirty very easy, so you may need to scotch guard and sure to lock rollers as well.I ordered a few items from this Safavieh company, and mostly they seem pretty good quality, and superior designs, at a slightly higher than average Amazon price compared to similar products. So far, I've been fairly happy with the goods I received from Safavieh - mostly, I like their designs. They look like someone designed them, instead of a lot of products that look like - "slap some legs on that, and figure out how to fit it in a delivery box" deal. The pieces actually look good, in other words.I received this order fairly fast, and like it overall.One thing, however, it says charcoal, but, it definitely seems to have some brown tinge to it in certain lighting. Honestly, it almost looks like sunlight bleached a bit or something - Like the charcoal of the fabric has changed color to a brown tinge. I was expecting it to be a straight charcoal gray. It still works mostly, but it's a little irritating. I could return it fairly easily, since it's not too heavy and not much trouble at all to disassemble; it required only the legs to be screwed in. I'll keep it, however, since it's pretty close to what I wanted, but wish it was strictly charcoal.The casters on the bottom, don't do anything on top of my bamboo flooring - meaning they don't spin smoothly enough, so they don't spin at all; they just stay frozen as I move the ottoman around over the floor. The friction on the wheels can't overcome the lack of friction on my bare bamboo floor. The casters as yet are not scratching up my floor, so, I think will work fine. Just another thing that feels a bit annoying. I would have just prefer some teflon/plastic caps in hindsight. I realize some people wonder about ottomans like this whether you can take the casters off or not. I do see tiny screws on the caster caps, but, I don't mind the casters too too much and want to keep them to keep the height, so I haven't tried taking them off. Maybe they can be taken off? Not sure. Sorry that's not much help.As far as construction, it feels very solid, even though light. I don't feel like it will break with use. I'm 165lbs for reference. I don't hear any creaks and the piece just feels pretty solid. The way it's built with the tall sides, gives me confidence it would work fine with 2 adults sitting on it, even tho I haven't tried that yet since I live alone.The cushion on top is fairly firm, but, I found it to be extremely comfortable as a bench. It seems to hug my rear end well... haha... Kind of a very firm foam feel to it.This has no storage, but I knew that and I didn't want storage.Overall, the design seems very nice and multi-functional, and I like it. Not love it but like it. I would definitely have liked it more if it didn't have the brownish tinge to it. It looks kinda like a dark dark dark mushroom color/taupe-y color in other words.I noticed that there were very few photos of this bench, not to mention none of the cream colored one, so I hope this review will be helpful!So first of all the box came pretty beat up, so I was very worried the bench would be dirty or punctured in some way. I was happy to find the bench was perfectly fine!Unboxing the bench, literally it is JUST the bench seat, and the feet are in a zippered compartment underneath the bench. I want to clarify that this pocket is just for storing the feet and not for anything else.The fabric on the bench is a very nice off white, which is perfect for my farmhouse style bedroom. In the photos you can see I have this bench placed at the end of my King sized bed, so hopefully that helps for size reference. I really love the size of it! It allows us to be able to clear the end of the bed without bumping into the bench.One thing I was concerned about prior to ordering, is that the top would be too squishy and would deflate over time, however the top is made of a pretty thick/kind of semi-hard foam! Which means it wont ever deflate, and it’s still really comfortable to sit on.The legs are a pretty light wood color and have the rolling feet. i’ve seen several people ask about if the wheels come off. My answer is YES. There are screws holding the wheels on around the feet of the bench. So, you can remove them, but you will have screw holes and less height. I think that cover everything!I am SUPER happy with my new bench! It is exactly what I wanted and I love it! I’m not sure what to think about it… I’m pretty sure I will be returning it. The color is more of a pink/purple hue.I purchased the brown mink bench. I absolutely love it. It is significantly bigger than I expected. I attached two photos; one with no flash and one with flash. It came in a giant box and the only assembly required was putting on the legs. The legs come hidden inside a little pouch on the underside of the bench. Everything came packaged well but one of the legs was damaged. A chunk of wood was missing from the top of the leg. Still giving 5 stars because I was able to attach In a way where the "missing" chunk was facing the center and you absolutely cannot see it. Great purchase overall and it goes great with my gold/rose gold/ neutral theme. Couldn't be happier.I've been happy with my purchases from this company, and this bench is no exception. Good quality fabric, straight seams, and the legs give it a modern/retro look. The legs were put in an opening in the bottom lining fabric, and someone had ripped it open instead of unzipping it, so there is a piece of fabric hanging down underneath which doesn't show. Assembly: Turn bench over, screw in legs. Perfect.This deserves 5 stars . The cushion is firm and and fabric appears to look like linen. Good quality bench and appears it’s built well and made to last.
