The Ransom Multi Cal. Steady Rest is manufactured from good, American-made Aerospace grade 6061 Aluminum. The Aerospace material is brought in house and fully CNC machined. We decided on solid Aerospace certified bar stock to be used not only for its weight, but its stability. If you ever wanted a different color or to replace the leather strip and pad, the machine was designed so you can DIY it. You can customize it as you wish. We believe it is like no other rest because it is the only one to identify and solve the defined problems. - Wide Range of Firearms, Uses and Options Light, yet solid base for supporting a wide range of firearms. With easy transportation as it fits snuggly inside a .50 cal. ammo can. The V-Block is machined to allow a wide range of barrels, stocks and pistol frames to be supported. Cushioned by the leather pad to prevent harmonic vibrations and damage to your firearm. Base is also drilled and tapped to accept any standard bi or tri-pod so you can stand and shoot off of a camera tripod. The V-block also can be removed to mount to a mono-pod or walking stick while hiking or hunting.
