It's difficult to find furniture without composite these days. This bench is constructed from solid teak; no MDF or wood composite. The bench is very stable, and the fit and finish are first-rate.Assembly was very easy. As a matter of fact, the instructions provided in the box were for another type of furniture, (so they were useless to me), but the holes were pre-drilled and assembly was intuitive; I had it put together in five minutes without any instructions whatsoever.I agree with the previous reviewer regarding the aesthetics; the actual product looks much nicer than the picture; the wood is darker and richer-looking, with a nice tight grain. It is advertised as an outside bench, but the design and quality made it a handsome addition to our home interior. We placed it in our foyer and added a cushion on top. It was a nice match to our other teak furniture.Based to quality, ascetics and stability, I would rate this bench a good buy. The price is higher than furniture constructed of composites, (or even other types of solid wood), but you get what you pay for.
